MARK TWAIN CASINO    LaGrange, MO  8/6/2002

We are less than an hour drive from the Mark Twain Casino, on the 
other  hand  we don't go there on any regular basis.   Jim  Kruse 
called  and said that there had been a Christmas chip there  last 
year. I uttered a silent profane remark - right in our back  yard 
and we missed it!!!

This is the only casino that I am aware of where you have to have 
a "slot card" to get in and you have to have a picture ID to  get 
a slot card.  Everybody is identified.

We  got our cards and went in.  We went to the cashier and  asked 
for  the Christmas chip.  After going through several people  and 
several  stories  we talked to a gentleman who seemed  to  be  in 
authority  and who said that the "holiday" chips were  put  away, 
and  they could not sell us any, but that they would  be  brought 
out again for the holidays this year. It sounded like they  might 
come out about thanksgiving time.

So, another unique feature for Mark Twain - a chip which is  part 
of  their Christmas decoration package? Remember, this is a  VERY 
small  casino.   On the minus side, patience is required. On  the 
plus  side, there should be plenty of them and they  should  have 
very little wear.
